Welcome

I’m a Sussex-based yoga teacher, teaching since 2019. With over 700 hours of training in hatha yoga, restorative yoga and yoga & somatics, I offer classes that emphasise mindful movement, breath and awareness.

Over the past two years, I’ve been deepening both my personal practice and teaching through continued study with Vajrasati Yoga School in Brighton, exploring yoga as a lifelong practice of learning and enquiry.

I especially enjoy introducing people to yoga for the first time and supporting students as they begin their own exploration of the practice. I teach with the intention of creating a welcoming space that honours the roots of yoga, while encouraging a practice that is as relevant in daily life as it is on the mat.

I teach regular classes in person at studios around Sussex and online, as well as offering private one-to-one sessions tailored to the individual and their practice.

Class Styles

I regularly teach hatha and restorative yoga online and in-person. If you’re unsure of these yoga styles, you’ll find little descriptions below.

Vajrasati

Vajrasati yoga combines the postures, breathing and meditation techniques of classical/modern postural yoga, along with innovative explorations outside ‘traditional’ postures from a conscious, subtle and energetic alignment perspective.

Restorative

Restorative yoga practice is very relaxing and calming for the body and mind. The practice encourages physical, mental, and emotional relaxation.

Hatha

Hatha yoga is the foundation of yoga, practicing postures to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body & mind. Incorporating breathing techniques and meditation to enhance the mind body connection.

Testimonials

  • Fiona’s yoga sessions are very effective and have really helped me to increase my flexibility. She makes you feel relaxed and comfortable and has a very motivating style without making you feel that you have to push to levels that your body is not ready for. Thank you Fiona I have loved your sessions and look forward to joining you for more in the future.

  • Fiona’s Restorative Yoga sessions are amazing. They help your mind and body to relax and are a vital part of my busy & hectic week.

This type of yoga helps you to learn breathing techniques and Fiona facilitates these sessions calmly and with an outstanding understanding of why relaxation is important and how to achieve this

Restoring your focus on yourself and mind helps to recharge you for the rest of the week.

    Highly, highly recommended

  • Having attended several of Fiona’s breath awareness classes, I was immediately impressed how she focused the mind to enable an appreciation of the full body. An impressive session facilitator whose passion and interest in her work shines through.

  • Feedback wise – this 5 week yoga course was the best wellbeing activity I’ve ever done at OneFamily and I really enjoyed the structure of it being on multiple Tuesdays and getting out of bed for it each week, it was an amazing start to the day.

  • Fiona ran an excellent yoga taster for our Guide and Ranger groups virtually (via Zoom).
Before the session, Fiona and I had a video call to discuss the group’s needs and I was able to feel confident that she understood what we were looking for in terms of a beginners’ session.
The yoga session was expertly tailored to our whole group no matter of age (from young teens to seniors) or abilities.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the yoga experience and would certainly recommend Fiona’s sessions to others!
