When was the last time you slowed right down and allowed yourself to rest?
As the name suggests, we invite the body to ‘restore’ by tuning into its parasympathetic nervous system, which helps the body to rest, heal and restore balance.
The practice of restorative yoga encourages physical, mental and emotional relaxation. It is yoga that is appropriate for all levels and involves a gentle floor-based practice, focusing on 4–5 postures held for between 10–15 minutes.
I teach this class at two studios in Haywards Heath. Monday evenings for The Movement, and on Sunday evenings for Be Yoga.
