Beginner’s Yoga

A five-week course for those who have never tried yoga, or for those looking to get back into it.

If you would like to find a nurturing, supportive place to discover and explore yoga, consider joining this online course.

The course is open to all levels. So, if you’ve never tried yoga before or you want to get back into it, this is for you.

We explore the practice of yoga by learning physical postures, and other elements of a rounded yoga practice: breath awareness, stillness and relaxation.

But I’m not very flexible

Not a problem at all. You can practise yoga if you’re not flexible. Yoga is for everyone!

Flexibility, size, age or level really don’t matter. As long as you can get up and down from the floor with relative ease, you’ll be great!

What do I need?

  • Comfy clothes you can easily move around in
  • Yoga mat
  • Blanket
  • Pillows / Cushions x 2

What to expect

Each class will have a slightly different focus, however there are things you’ll notice we always do:

  • We start lying down in Savasana
  • We bring our awareness to our breath to start our practice
  • We take our time to move, allowing the body to awaken and warm up
  • We have a mixture of lying, sitting, standing and balancing postures
  • We always finish back where we started, lying in Savasana.

The Zoom room will be open from 8.45am, so you can log in, say hello and ask me any questions before we get started.

The class starts promptly at 9am as this ensures we make the most of the time we have together.
